When Jesus was on earth preaching and teaching, people tried to keep the little children from “bothering” the Master. But He corrected them and said to let the children come to Him because the Kingdom of Heaven belonged to people like them. He valued them highly. So do we.

Our purpose is to provide a Growing Up Place for special people. Our mission for children (birth through 5th grade) calls us to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment that allows each child a meaningful and age-appropriate opportunity to grow in God’s Word.

UHBC has three children’s choirs. Choir I is 4 and 5 year olds, Choir II is grades 1, 2, and 3, and Choir III is 4th and 5th grades. For details regarding the Children's music program please contact Janis Burger at 372-2151. 

Meet the Children's Ministry Staff-

Kit Donavan Kit Donavan is beginning her 9th year as Children's Minister at UHBC. She has been married for 19 years to Bruce Donavan who was raised at UHBC. They
have two sons, Corbin age 14 and Connor age 13.

Charlene McCoy has worked in the nursery area for 8 years. The last two years have been spent as the Nursery Coordinator. Charlene is married to Jeff McCoy. They have two children, Lexy who is 11 and Turner who is 8.
